(probably) Mood Booster Of The Year

My boyfriend went back to Jakarta last Friday and stayed here with my family for awhile. Usual routine as it is. I woke up on Saturday morning due to some tasks I've gotta do. I was on the urge to pee that morning, then i went to bathroom instead. When i went back to my bed (i was actually still drowsy :p), i suddenly found THIS on my bed.

Then i opened it

It was a full box of chocolate candies!! AAAAA thanks so much baby, these chocolate candies are gonna be my mood booster (for awhile) till those run out gehehehhee :p

PULP - Pencil Skirt

When you raise your pencil skirt
like a veil before my eyes
like the look upon his face as he's zipping up his flies
Oh I know that you're engaged to him
Oh but I know that you want something to play with baby.

I'll be around when he's not in town
I'll show you how you're doing it wrong,
I really love it when you tell me to stop.
Oh it's turning me on.

You can tell me some lies,
about the good times that you've had,
but I've kissed your more than twice,
and now I'm working on your Dad.
Oh baby.

I'll be around when he's not in town,
I'll show you how you're doing it wrong
I really love it when you tell me to stop
Oh it's turning me on.

If you look under the bed
then I can see my house from here
so just lie against the wall
and watch my conscience disappear now baby

I'll be around when he's not in town
I'll show you how you're doing it wrong
I really love it when you tell me to stop
Oh it's turning me on.

I only come here cause I know it makes you sad
I only do it cause I know you know it's bad
Oh yes I know
that it's ugly and it shouldn't be like that
Oh but oh it's turning me on.

Sophisticated Sophie Ellis-Bextor

On September 25th 2011 ago, I was going to Java Soulnation Festival day 3. I was planning to watch T-Five's performance at 4.30 PM but my boss asked me to come to office so I couldn't get there on time. I was running away at half five hahah I was really scared of missing the show. And I got there by cab. Due to senayan's near location, The cab charged me only for 10.000 rupiah but I only paid for 5.000 rupiah because the taxi driver didn't have the change. I planned to meet up with Ditto and his brother. When I was on the phone with Ditto, suddenly my Junior High mate, Jessy stopped me. She asked me to fill in the questionnaire for Trax FM. After meeting Ditto, he wanted to eat something at food-court, and then we watched Aditya's performance for a while. At 6 PM we were moving to inside Istora, queuing for Miss Sophie Ellis-Bextor. The Gate were opened at half seven but I don't know why people were pushing each other. OMG please this is Sophie's show, not Korean boyband's. When we finally got in there, the MCs asked us to sing along Indonesia Raya. Not long after that, Sophie came out and started to entertain us.

OK so the Intro was good. I thought she was gonna sing 'Heartbreak' because there's in it. The first song she sang was Dial My Number. Then she continued with Bittersweet, one of my fav songs. Not much who sang this one, I don't know why. She got the groove steady until Take Me Home. The whole crowd danced and sang together. Yes, this is her #1 hits in Indonesia. She also gave the crowd Me and My Imagination. People loved this song, though most of them only sang the same title lyrics at chorus part. A few songs after that she brought us Catch You. Oh how i love this song so much. It was a hit on early 2000's But I don't know why didn't they sing along together, where we should jumped around at this part. I tried to enjoy other songs. Seems like there was something missing. It wasn't the sound, nor the vocal. After a while, i found that the music composition wasn't really matched. Sophie's music which is basically dance music, is best fit with DJ accompaniment instead of full band. With full band accompaniment, the sound listened really bad, not blending each other. But since Sophie is beautiful, so it doesn't matter haha. Most of Indonesian fans of her tend to love her old songs. When she played Murder on The dance Floor, then the whole Istora were dancing and sing along together. Sophie sometimes put in some dances into her singing, without choreography for sure. Not long after that, Sophie medley-ed her songs Get Over You - Lady (Hear Me Tonight) - Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) - Sing It Back. For me, this was really fascinating! The remix was a groovy end of the show and successfully made the crowd uncontrollably dance just like on the dance floor. As i said before, it has to be mixed with DJ so Sophie would be looking stunning. The last song closed with Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer). This is the song that Ditto and I had been waiting for. Though it's not really famous in Indonesia, but this song was a hit in UK. So the show of the beautiful leg lady had ended. I was a bit disappointed because she didn't bring Music Gets The Best of Me to be played. I scale 7.5 out of 10 for the performance, and 9 for her beauty :p

After enjoying the show, we moved again to food-court and met with Mahdesi and Rasyid. I was really tired so I went home approximately 1 hour after meeting them. Thanks Sophie for coming to Jakarta! :)

HAPPY EID MUBARAK 1432 HIJRIAH, PEOPLE

Let's Go Back To Fithr. May Our souls be blessed with His guidance :)

So, ngupilpun termasuk hal yang membatalkan puasa.

Berasa keren B)

Enjoy Ramadhan, mates! :)

The Cranberries at Java Rockin' Land

Honestly, I wasn't so excited about coming to this festival. But i was thinking of when will The Cranberries come again to Indonesia, many songs of them i love, and I hadn't been to international concert for quite long time. Music is my true solace. So within these busy weeks i had, i decided to come before regreting the whole things. I made an appointment with Tessa there to give her Suede's CDs she ordered from me. I met Yodha and Linda as well. As usual, before the band started the show, we all sang Indonesia Raya at the beginning.

And so the band began. They started it with Analyze. And i sang along instead :p. That's one of my fave songs. Dolores still wore black jacket and then she took it off on the next song. They Continued with Animal Instinct. And the whole Carnaval Beach sang together. When they were about to give us Salvation, Dolores wore Apache headdress. Ha ha nice one. They brought 18 songs which are their greatest hits, and several songs from their upcoming album. And then they ended the show after played 16 songs. We knew that was just a tricky way to do the encore part. Dolores had changed her clothe into a long black dress. They were coming back and sang my most fave song off all. Yes, PROMISES. Woohoooo... This is the best Cranberries song for me :p. And the last song they played was Dreams. I like this one too though...

The show was ending at approximately 00.15 AM. I I was so exhausted but gotta find a cab to bring me home. My conclusion is, THE CRANBERRIES is STILL an Irish Legend, and i couldn't agree more :). Iscale their show 7.5 out of 10.

Simply Red - Stars

I am currently into this song so much :P

Anyone who ever held you would tell you the way i'm feeling
Anyone who ever wanted you would try to tell you what i feel inside
The only thing i ever wanted was the feeling that you ain't faking
The only one you ever thought about wait a minute can't you see that
I wanna fall from the stars, straight into your arms
I, i feel you, i hope you comprehend

For the man who tried to hurt you he's explaining the way i'm feeling
For all the jealousy i caused you states the reason why i'm trying to hide
As for all the things you taught me it sends my future into clearer dimensions
You'll never know how much you hurt me stay a minute can't you see that
I wanna fall from the stars, straight into your arms
I, i feel you, i hope you comprehend

Too many hearts are broken. A lover's promise never came with a maybe
So many words are left unspoken. The silent voices are driving me crazy
After all the pain you caused me. Making up could never be your intention
You'll never know how much you hurt me. Stay can't you see that
I wanna fall from the stars, straight into your arms
I, i feel you, i hope you comprehend

WICKED FEMALE VOCALISTS

There have been many female vocalists from many bands that I've been listening to throughout these years. But there are only three vocalists that attract me most. Not only by their queer and strong vocals, but also their style on stage. These are my favorite female band vocalists:

She is the vocalist of Catatonia. Her uniquely shrill and strong voice are her vocal characters. After the band split, She is now having her own albums. Some of her songs are in Welsh, where that's the unique part of her solo album. This video is one of her masterpieces on the band.

2. Shirley Manson
Garbage is the band where she's been now. She has such glamorous, sexy, and strong vocal characters. She's really sexy as well, since she used to be a model for catwalk. The band was really rocked in 90's Era. Their last album was in 2007, which is The Greatest Hits itself. This is one of my favorite songs of garbage :)

3. Sarah Blackwood
She is the front woman of Indie Dance band, Dubstar. The band came from UK, introducing British dance music. She sings with thick British accent, which is the most interesting character of hers. The hit single 'I (Friday Night)' is beyond cheerful and addicted.

HOW I MET OPA RUDI

About 2 months ago, my college friends invited me to have lunch at Mang Engking UI. We had so much fun there (as usual) though i could only ate otak-otak and sayur kangkung (I'm allergic to seafood). After approximately 4 hours trashing eating, we decided to go karaoke-ing. We had to walk pass the bookstore first before arrive at NAV Karaoke. And there was a headline right in front of the bookstore, written: HABIBIE AINUN BOOK SIGNING 16.00 - 18.00 WIB. I was like, OMG is Habibie really here? If he is, i've gotta take a picture with him. He's one of my biggest inspirations. Take this chance, now or never!!

Fortunately, my friend Tuti accompanied me to meet Habibie :D. I never thought that she is a huge fan of Habibie too. Okay so we bought his book, and registered for a photo session. Actually the photo session would only be held until 6 pm but the book signing was still be continued until the registers got their books signed. And luckily, the committees put Tuti's and My books next to Habibie :D. Actually we wouldn't get the chance to take photos with him but Alhamdulillah, fortune was on our side. And then one of the committees mentioned Tuti's name and then she sat next to Habibie and i caught their pictures. Now's my turn to take the photos. I sat next to Habibie and Tuti caught the pictures :). Finally we got our books signed and our photographs together with our idol, Burhanuddin Jusuf Habibie.

Why do we adore him so much? He is one of the cleverest men on earth. His IQ score is still no.1 throughout Asia. Not only that, he's been loving her wife and family with all his heart. He has a high nationalism though many people doubt it ( i know he has it). He's not only good at technology, but also at his worship to God. He can balance his spiritual and and real life very well. My words just can't describe how adorable he is. I LOVE YOU OPA RUDI :).

WHO IS YOUR KARTINI?

Ladies, I'm sure you're all really thrilled with Kartini Day today. Yayy!! It's an appreciation for us, ladies, to be celebrated :). Actually, what's the meaning of Kartini Day? Is it all about emancipation? Or just a birth celebration of our Mother Kartini? Or maybe a day with Kebaya sightseeing all day? I guess you all have your own perceptions with this :D. I won't talk about Kartini's history now because you can google it yourself heheh :p. So who's your real Kartini in your personal life? :)

For me, my mom is the real Kartini for me in my daily life. She's been a very good mother all these times. She always wakes up at 4 am everyday cooking and serving breakfast for the whole family though she gotta go to work everyday as a civil service lecturer and gets home every night (and serves dinner as well). Oh not to mention she's also a well educated woman. Not only those routines, my mom's still active on Fatayat NU, continuing handed down family line tradition. She is also very good in driving car (i can't even park straightly :p) ever since she was in junior high school. Why do i adore her so much? Because mom still takes care her whole family, teaches her kids how to put religion norms in life and to be thankful to God all the time. Thanks a bunch, dear Mother :) :)

HAPPY KARTINI DAY LADIEEEESSSSS!!!! :D

APRIL COOL

This month, april, there are two people i adore who have birthdays. First, Cerys Matthews, former vocalist of CATATONIA which is also a songwriter and a guitar player. She is my most favorite female vocalist. Her birthday is on April 11th. And now She's 42 :D. And the second is, MY DAD wohooo XD. He was born on April 19th. He is now 51. Every Dad is the best Dad ever in everyone's life. And so is he. I wish i could be as smart and clever as him LOL. In this 51st birthday, i wish him all the best during his career and good health for now and beyond :). And to those of you who have birthdays in April, i'm going to say:

HAPPY APRIL BIRTHDAAAYYY!!!

SUEDE CONCERT

Inhale, exhale. inhale, exhale. this is what i had been felt during their show on march 19. I really shocked when first time i knew that this Live n Rockin Concert was promoted by BlackBerry. I had such an instinct telling me that this was gonna be tough for fans to see Suede Concert. And finally it turned out that the only way to get this ticket was trading in your phone into selected BlackBerry handsets. I was like, what the fuck #$%^% shame on you, marketing! Fans and I were mad. Absolutely. This was such a capitalist marketing for us. hey, music is for everybody, not only for new BlackBerry users. I was browsing and looking up onto Suede's official website everyday, posted in their forum, and tweeted as much as can be to the promoter and Blackberry itself. We, fans, felt like, how come we had to trade in new BlackBerry while there would be four different performers on the stage? We had been complaining all the time, in Suede's forum particularly. and then Vanessa, Suede's current manager, told us that there will be quizzes to fulfill fans' quota. OMG she was so kind to us. Yes, Suede love their fans and vice versa :). She said there will be 500 tix to be given away for fans only. Okay by the time she told us, I'd been stuck around the monitor to see the quizzes she'd mentioned :D

And the time has come. It wasn't useless that i refreshed the forum page all the time! XD. Vanessa shared the link of the quiz so we, fans could join and get the ticket for each, YIHAAA!!! Actually the quiz would start after Ismaya (the promoter) announced it on their twitter page. But yes Vanessa published it before the rest of the world knew :D. I was officially gonna Suede Instead!

And oh well, there will be no luck without odds. I had a duty trip for 4 days before concert from office to Palembang. Actually it was a chance for me to visit families there. The concert was held on Saturday and I'd be arrived on Saturday noon whoaaaa... Such a critical schedule. Lucky me, Annie had taken my ticket before so i wouldn't waste time on the venue. I made an appointment with Annie to come together to the show. By the time i hit the venue, i also met Wedhar, Fira, Erlin, Ditto, Ceper, bang Eci and Adit. The show began at 7pm starring 2PM, Shontelle, and Taio Cruz.

Okay i was like sneaking around when Taio performed :p and then i got into the very front row with other suedeheads!! yeayyyy!!! Then i waited patiently to see my 90's fave band to perform :D. Before the show began, VJ Daniel took me up to the stage to sing one of my fav Suede songs and i sang 'Superstar' in front of the crowd OMG hahaha i can't believe i was Suede's opening act at that moment haha. By the time i got back into the row, SUEDE was performing instead! Oh My God, i couldn't take my breath away. I would want to cry. I couldn't hold my feelings and screamed out all the time.

They played 'This Hollywood Life' as first song. I can't believe that Brett's position was right in front of meee oh noooo!! Neil and Matt as well but they stayed at their place :D. And the crazy moment was when Suede played 'The Wild Ones'. Brett sit right in front of me, not in front of people next to me. Oh My, i could fly away reminiscing this. Not to mention they giggled seeing Adit's banner that written 'I'M ACHING TO SEE MY ANDERSON' whoaaaa... They were so powerful and androgynous on stage they could be driving me away :D. After signed out by everyone's song 'Beautiful Ones', they were back with encore songs 'Saturday Night' and 'Lazy'. Actually my very fave song on setlist was 'Killing of A Flashboy'. I scale this concert 9 out of 10 ha ha. Here are their full setlist:
  1. She
  2. We Are The Pigs
  3. Killing Of A Flashboy
  4. Saturday Night

BRITNEY SPEARS RELEASED HER LATEST SINGLE

Yeah, it's called Hold It Against Me. This single will appear on her upcoming album, Femme Fatale. She had given us some teasers of this video before.  But now, this is IT!

NOT JUST THOSE SO-CALLED RESOLUTIONS

Hey there guysssssssssss!! It's been such a looong time for me to write a new post. Yeah, there were sort of problems i struggled this one last month. Sigh, couldn't tell more. But, talking about new year, certainly we talk about new resolutions, aye? Ok, my last 2010 occurrences were too many to be talked. But several achievements i got are definitely not forgotten. Let's say, free concert tickets from Java Rockingland, Java Musikindo, prelaunch Nokia X6 from Nokia Indonesia, and others. Many rapid changes were occurring during 2010. First, i bond a relationship with this current boyfriend. All of a sudden, i was accepted as a civil service at Ministry of Public Works. I was like, wow, i never thought my life would changed as fast as this. I know, i met a lot of problems during resigning from my previous job but, i would have been struggling for this new job. This is the job that i've been dreaming of :')

And oh, resolutionsssss.... mmm i have no resolutions in particular (to be said), i probably hope the best for me, family, friends, and you!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011
ALL THE BEST ALONG THIS YEAR!!
